A few days ago it occurred to me how much the non-human world has taught me about Spirit. My best writing conveys the role this world and its many representatives have played in my sense of sacred connection, belonging and wonder.
Nothing could be more inviting as a writing project than staying on the same path that I already know and adore; the miraculous moments I’ve shared in everyday life with creatures, the elements and natural rhythms remind me that holiness isn't some human-made achievement. In fact, the non-human world is worth emulating in many ways.
That's where “non-human saints” comes in. Our designations don't suffice, but this writing will hopefully be a venture into reconsidering who or what forms us spiritually, mostly through poetry.
This will be for paid subscribers of any level all the time, and free sometimes. I don't have a schedule for posting right now.

They have a red cardinal perched on their right arm and is holding a Cherokee Rose in bloom with the left paw. The bear has a somewhat traditional iconographic halo with an extra glow.
